This house was built with a timber frame kit, made on site which allowed for a quick yet high quality construction. The house was built using UPVC cladding, ensuring a durable finish which is important due to the wild weather in the area. This choice of cladding also results in a maintenance free exterior.

This beautiful house is available to book as self-catering accommodation.

This new build was carried out using a sips panel kit with Rationel triple glazed windows and doors which provide a remarkably airtight house with exceptional thermal performance. This build was also completed with air source under floor heating and led lighting which results in low energy costs.

Strone of Glenbanchor

This refurbishment and extension project, designed by the incredible Loader Monteith, was carried out using Russwood Thermopine Cladding, new natural slate with a completely new lead verge and ridge. This house was finished with triple glazed windows and doors to blend beautifully with the original stone exterior of the former crofter’s cottage, creating a peaceful light-filled family space.

Strone Steading

Strone Steading was one of the most pleasurable new builds we have taken on. We were involved from the very beginning, in discussions with the clients at the planning stage. They came up with a beautiful H shaped house incorporating the garage at one side. We manufactured the kit on site ensuring perfection of panel sizes with pre-fabricated roof trusses and sarking boards. Due to the shape of the build there were lots of exterior walls and it covered a very large area. There were a variety of materials used on the exterior, mostly larch with traditional wet harling and locally sourced quarried whin stone. The roof was finished with natural slate, incorporating solar panels to help heat the water and produce electricity helping to lower the carbon footprint.

As the clients were living nearby, they watched the house develop with great passion and were available to answer any questions and listen to our professional knowledge and solutions to any problems.

The interior is just as special as the exterior with the clients choosing LPG run underfloor heating and very good thermal insulation to make it economical as well as keeping it cosy. All of the wooden finishing’s in the house are oak, including the doors and engineered oak flooring. Along with the client’s choice of soft neutral wall colours this resulted in an extremely luxurious and relaxing home. This project will have good building memories with us for a long time.
